ALERT! ATTENTION!

Dear fellow Dungeons of Moria lovers,
IF YOU BASH DOORS, THEY BREAK. THEN YOU CAN'T CLOSE THEM. THEN IF A CLOUD GIANT COMES AND IS STRIKING LIGHTNING AT YOU, YOU CAN'T RUN AWAY BECAUSE THE DOOR IS BROKEN. I HAVE JUST FIGURED THIS OUT. THANKS FOR LETTING ME KNOW SOONER, ROBERT ALAN KOENEKE AND CO.
Love Kara.
Yeah, I'd consider myself a complete and total nerd.

procrastination.

Author: Kara /

HOLA.
This is Kara's procrastination post. There are much more important things that I SHOULD be doing right about now, but I am not doing. Like studying for the TWO TESTS I have tomorrow. Why, you ask?
I DON'T KNOW. The mystery of procrastination is yet to be solved. All we know so far is that it's a long and cool word that describes lazy people. Just like me.
ERM...
In other news, KARA MADE A SHOW! YAY! APPLAUSE! JUMPING TOADSTOOLS! :D
I'm the understudy for Grace in Cinderella! Yee-haw!
(Grace is one of the two evil stepsisters. She also the one who apparently likes to read awful poetry and gets itchy when she's nervous)
So basically since I'm an understudy, I have to go to DOUBLE REHEARSALS (for Grace and for the ensemble) but don't get to perform unless the actual Grace gets sick or injured or whatnot. And I have to learn all of Grace's lines and singing parts. Sigh.
But I'm actually pretty excited, even though I don't get to perform in the show. Being in a show is fun enough as it is! I love being a theatre kid. :)
AGH. I HATE MICROSOFT TYPING CORRECTIONS. THEATRE IS SPELLED WITH THE RE INSTEAD OF THE ER!
CURSE YOU MICROSOFT! YOU CAUSE ME DAILY ANGST WITH YOUR AUTOMATED GRAMMAR POLICE!
ANGST ANGST ANGST! *bangs head against the wall*

Well, erm, I better start studying. That AP Euro test isn't going to fail itself.

full of GLEE

Author: Kara /

Hey, whaddup?
So, last night was the season premiere of GLEE!

I'm a tad obsessed. And it was flip, flipperin' flippen AMAZING just like I thought it would be.
So this is what I thought of the episode, for all you GLEEKS just like me, DON'T READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET:
- I LOVE BILLIONAIRE BOY. His voice is AMAZING. Even though it was extremely sad when he was the quarterback when Finn got kicked off the football team, but it'll be SUPER exciting when they eventually convince him to join Glee!
- I'm actually really happy that Quinn's back on the Cheerios. I'm really proud of her.
- Sunshine is ADORABLE. I love her pigtails and she's such a good singer. Poo on Vocal Adrenaline for taking her away. Bleh.
- Coach Beiste freaks me out. Seriously. I felt bad for him/her when Mr. Shue didn't let her sit with him, but still. And him/her kicking Finn off the football team = TOTAL BS.
- Rachel... ICK. Honestly.
- I love how Tina and Mike Chang are going out. That's adorable. Artie's just annoyingly possessive and Tina should have dumped him. And MIKE CHANG = AMAZING ABS. He was really hot dancing around the little camp with the little Asian kids.
- Creepy fro kid has GOTTA GO. He's just annoying.
- Santana's boob job = TOTAL NO NO. I think she might be pregnant... the crying in the beginning and all... but that's just a speculation. I'm probably wrong.
QUOTES FROM THE EPISODE:
Puck: Dude, your mouth is huge. How many tennis balls can you fit in there?
Sam: I don't know. I've never had any balls in my mouth. Have you?
Beiste: Ugh, those smell like dog poop. Are they dog poop cookies?!
Brittany: People thought I went on vacation, but I actually spent the summer lost in the sewers.
Beiste: Your all coffee and no omelet.
Sue (to Santana): You're demoted to the bottom of the pyramid so when it collapses, your exploding sandbags will keep everyone safe from injury.

I love this show. That's all I can say.

untitled.

Author: Kara /

A title requires inspiration. And most, if not all of any sort of inspiration has been sucked up from this tiring and stressful yet AMAZING  first week of SOPHOMORE YEAR. WHEE-OOO!

So,
I've decided I actually like school.
WHAAAAAAT? KARA LIKES SCHOOL?!
Yes. Kara likes school.

Kara likes school because she has pretty flip, flipperin' flippen amazing classes and flip, flipperin' flippen amazing people in them.

Which are...
CHOIR: I was seriously blown away in the amount of progress you can make from one year to the next. Cantori is pretty amazing, if I do say so myself.
HONORS COMM: Besides the summer homework and timed essay writing, it's pretty good. Ms. Murphy is really nice, and its the same girls minus some that are in choir. So that by itself is pretty awesome.
AP EURO: Oh damn. I think I may have made a large mistake in signing up for this...
Well, I've had a good 2 hours of homework for 2 out of 3 nights (we had a test today so we didn't get any last night. thank God) and I got a C minus on both of the two daily quizzes. C MINUS. NOT APPROPRIATE.
Buuuut I got an A on my European map test, which kinda helps a bit :)
HEALTH: Ehh, it's okay. It's just pretty much the same stuff we learned in eighth grade all over again, but with different people. And I don't know any of those said people. Fun.
BIO X: I LOVE Bio X. My teacher's hilarious and we have some pretty hilarious people in the class too. I may just have to sit back and laugh when it's appropriate :)
So, that's pretty much a breakdown of my schedule this term. Ain't it purty?
I also get to eat lunch with my best friend every day. HELL YES.
Except for the first Friday there was no ice cream. But no worries. That will be fixed :)

Erm...
That's it. Now, since I have nothing to do this wonderful Friday night, I might just have to go spend some quality time with mi familia.
Ciao!

It makes me smile :)

Author: Kara /

- Eating brunch at 7 at night
- When my puppy jumps up and licks my face every time I walk in the room
- Guilty pleasures (aka Kara's Nerdy Obsession with the Dungeons of Moria game...I'm on level 15! WHEE-OOO!)
- Being DONE WITH SUMMER HOMEWORK FINALLY!
- School starting tomorrow. I'm actually kinda sick of just sitting around and doing nothing and I REALLY miss seeing my friends every day
- The movie The Notebook
- Finding a GREAT homecoming dress
- Spending time with my mom. I wish most teenagers wouldn't have such an aversion to their parents. I actually really like hanging out with my mom... she's super cool and has some really insightful things to say
- Painting my nails bright colors. Currently, neon pink
- A Rocket to the Moon. Their music's always a day brightener
- Playing Nertz and Mafia
- Finding the PERFECT shoes to go with that ever-so-important (it is important, no matter how much you try to deny it) first day of school outfit

Well that be all. Ta-ta for now and I'll be back to talk about my first day as a Sophomore!
I'm actually super pumped!

XOX,
Kara ♥

And all that jazz

Author: Kara /

Howdy, y'all!
(This is inspired by my favorite character Stevie Rae in my new favorite book series, The House of Night series. I know what you're thinking. Just another Twilight knockoff. But it's actually really different than Twilight and in my opinion MUCH MUCH better. The first book is called Marked. I'm reading Untamed now, which is the 4th book, but I seriously suggest you check it out. AND READ THEM IN ORDER FOR YOU START-IN-THE-MIDDLE-OF-A-BOOK-SERIES-ERS! NOTHING will make sense if you start in the middle. NOTHING.)
Anywho...
KARA'S STRESSED.
VERY STRESSED.
Know why?

SUMMER HOMEWORK. THAT'S WHY.
Okay, yes. I did save 130-ish pages of Fahrenheit 451 (which is an INSANELY boring book, no offense to the Honors Comm 10 people)and a reading packet thingy for the last SIX DAYS before school starts. You could just call me the epitome of procrastination.
So now I have six days to finish this book (well, 7 if you count the first day of school when I don't have Communications). Hooray.
I also have to learn a piece of audition music for WHS MUSICAL AUDITIONS (EEEEEEK!)in 7 days. Well, let's just see how these go. I honestly have no idea what the outcome will be on that one...
But I've heard that the music is easy, which is a plus. A minus is that I'm really really bad at auditions. Like nervous wise. So we'll see :)

So where was I those six days that I was gone?
Well,
I was at my cabin! WHEE-OOO!
LOVE MY CABIN.
And we were up there with another pretty awesome family too, and we had a pretty flip, flipperin' flippen GREAT time up there.
And I got a bit sunburned. Particularly on my nose.

ERM...
(There's that word again, erm. Again I emphasize how much I LOVE British people)

Today I had a strange urge to listen to the soundtrack from CHICAGO. My mama used to listen to it in the car all the time when I was 10 or so even though I've actually never seen the show. Apparently it's about a bunch of ladies who killed their cheating husbands and ended up in jail. Fun, right?
Yep.
Apparently Renee Zellweger is in the movie (I didn't have an issue with her until she made New in Town, which is EXTREMELY discriminatory towards Minnesotans. No, it's not always 10 below here and we do not sit around wearing Norwegian sweaters saying "No way! Yes way!" with our apparently weird sounding Minnesota accents and ice fish all day. And Renee Zellweger makes a really annoying pinchy-looking face on all the movie pictures), which is a HUGE negative. But i absolutely LOVE Queen Latifah, whose also in it. So I may just have to rent this baby and take a watch.

I think it might be time to read more of that nasty book. CURSES!

Kara ♥
