OBSESSED.

Guess what today is.
Today is August 24th. And that's the day that NEVERSHOUTNEVER'S NEW ALBUM COMES OUT!
And guess what else.
IT'S FLIP, FLIPPERIN' FLIPPEN AMAZING!
I think you should know that NeverShoutNever is BY FAR my favorite band. Or person. I have no idea what to call it when its only one person. But you get it.
And I'm a bit obsessed.
I believe that I am very close to owning every single song NeverShoutNever has ever made. And they're all as flip, flipperin' flippen amazing as Harmony (the album) is. So LISTEN TO 'EM!
And as an added bonus,
The Harmony CD (keep in mind that I had a Target gift card that was just begging to be used) had a little paper inside. Boring, right?
BUT WAIT.
On the front of the paper there was a little world drawn on and the word HARMONY underneath.

And this was on the back.
If you can't read it, it says, and I quote;
"This paper is embedded with wildflower seeds. Soak the paper in a glass of water for a day.
Plant under a thin layer of soil.
Water daily and keep moist until seedlings are well established."

And I'm DEFINITELY going to plant these flowers. HELL YES.

Erm...
Well, tomorrow I have a choir concert.
And a solo voice concert.
And in the aforementioned choir concert, I have a teensy solo.
And I'm actually a bit nervous because my voice is a bit lost. It's not too bad, but I REALLY HOPE it gets fully better before 5:00 tomorrow.
So in the next 18 hours I'll be drinking tea and honey like a flip, flipperin' flippen madwoman. EEEE-AAAAH!
I'm also really excited. Because the songs we're singing and the songs that I'm singing are AWESOME. I LOVE THEM.
For Voce, we're singing Call of the Flowers, Ain't Misbehavin', And So It Goes, and Halo/Walkin' on Sunshine from GLEE (another obsession of mine).
Aaaaaaaand...
These are the two songs I'm singing;

I Don't Know How To Love Him from Jesus Christ Superstar  (which I think is an absolutely GORGEOUS song. I feel extremely privileged to sing such a beautiful and meaningful song)
AND

You'll Never Walk Alone from Carousel (which I also LOVE, don't get me wrong)

You like?
I really like. Let's just hope my voice comes back!
On that note, I gotsa go drink my tea and listen to HARMONY one more time before bed.

XOX,
Kara ♥

WICKEDLY amazing...

Author: Kara /

Hey. Miss me? Thought so :)
Guess what. I have a new favorite musical. Its name is WICKED. And it's WICKEDLY AMAZING.
I don't know if anyone else saw Wicked at the Orpheum in Minneapolis, but the Elphaba there was WICKEDLY AMAZING too. Seriously.
Vicki Noon is my new musical inspiration.

One National Anthem at a Twins game later...

Author: Kara /

hello again! I'm back :)
As you can probably tell, today my summer choir VOCE sang the National Anthem at a Twins Game today. And yes, it was pretty flip, flipperin' flippen awesome.
The most flip, flipperin' flippen awesome part is that JOE MAUER was there. Right on the field when we were going in. Stretching. He has one of the most BE-YOU-TIFUL smiles I've ever seen. Especially up close. And he wished our whole choir luck before we sang.
HELL YES.
And apparently he waved to two very insanely lucky alto mamas. And I am very insanely jealous.
But anyway,
The rest of the game was pretty fun. Apparently me, Anna, and Lucy were on the Jumbotron and we didn't even notice. Yes, we are THAT observant.
And after that we got totally creeped on by a drunk guy. A drunk guy who said he was from Canada and wanted to show the Canadians how pretty American girls were. So he wanted to take his picture with us. Hell NO.
Erm...
Well the rest of the day was fun too. Today was Back to Business days at school, where we get our schedules and get our yearbook pics taken and whatnot. And I went with the one and only Estefania Rodriguez. And we have lunch together the whole year! Yee-haw!
This is going to be the most epic year of lunch ever. No doubt. Hello, Ice Cream Fridays!
Aaaaaand I am also oddly very excited for AP Euro. AP Euro is gonna be pretty epic too, since the Phineas and Ferb Speech Trio are reuniting! Plus Bridget! YAY!
(In case you were wondering, the Phineas and Ferb Speech Trio are me, Mari, and Sara. We did our introductory speeches on characters from Phineas and Ferb, and it was pretty flip, flipperin' flippen amazing)
And choir. Choir will be INSANELY epic. I have a feeling that this year is going to be a pretty epic one indeed.
Well, I believe that this is the end. I gots to go to bed. Ta-ta for now!

XOX,
Kara ♥

Let's get this party started.

Author: Kara /

Erm: DEFINITION- 1. A word used very frequently in the HARRY POTTER SERIES in awkward situations. 2. A word that Kara has recently decided to use in awkward situation. An addition to Kara's expanding vernacular.

Now you're probably thinking, why is she writing this? Well, actually, I have 2 reasons why I'm writing this.
1. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the expressions British people use. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, watch the movie Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging. You can already tell how quotable British people are by their use of the word "snogging." Seriously. This movie is almost as quotable as Mean Girls. Almost.
Examples...
PHWOAR!
FLIP, FLIPPERIN' FLIPPIN' HELL!
QUALITY LUSHNESS!
And my ALL-TIME FAVORITE...
LIBBY! STOP LICKING ROBBIE!
And LOTS more. So you should definitely watch it. And let me know if you like it, which you will. And tell me your favorite quotes! Honestly, you need to watch this movie. It's one of my favorites!
And 2. Introductions are always awkward situations. And this one isn't any different. So, what better way to diffuse an awkward situation just like this one with a BRITISH WORD specifically made to do just that? I see no better way to do this.
SOOOO,

hello.
Since it's 1:13 in the morning and I have nothing better to do, I thought, "Hey. I should make a blog."
And I did. And that's it.
Also, when LUCY came over today, we talked about blogs for a bit. I told her how I ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY LOVE her blog, and she showed me how to find some pretty sweet templates to use once I made my blog, like the template I have. And we also had a pretty awesome time just talking. So, after you're done watching Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging, you should go read Lucy's blog. You'll be glad you did. And who knows, maybe you'll be inspired to make a blog, too.

Erm...
This is my blog. Hooray.
It's a place where I, Kara, will share with you, the amazingly large world of the Internet *gapes in awe*, my thoughts, dreams, and the crazy-bold-awkward-randomness that is me. And the occasional music note too. ♫
Since I'm purely OBSESSED with music, I want to make it a priority on my blog to share with you of the amazingly large world of the Internet *gapes in awe* the kind of music that I LOVE. I don't really have a clue of how to do that yet... I was thinking of just randomly talking about random songs that've sparked my attention lately, but that would be no fun, would it? So if you have any ideas PLEASE TELL ME! I'm SO open to ideas. There's another thing to add to your list of what Kara asked you to do today.

Flip, flipperin' flippin' hell, it's already the end.
Adieu, Adieu, to you, and you, and you.
Look at me, I'm already quoting musicals. That you'll see a lot of. If you're a non-musical savvy type, then you won't know that that was from the Sound of Music. Now you do.
So, now that I have a distraction from Facebook (Admit it, you do your share of Facebook stalking too. Who doesn't?) I'll keep on posting.

XOX,
Kara ♥
